The infrared repair process begins by heating the damaged area with a large propane-powered infrared hot plate. This carefully softens the existing asphalt, allowing our skilled crews to seamlessly remove the cracked surface or area surrounding the pothole without disturbing the base underneath. Fresh, hot asphalt from our six-ton heated storage unit is then applied directly into the prepared space, ensuring a consistent bond with the existing pavement. To complete the repair, we square off the area and tamp or roll it to achieve proper structural compaction, resulting in a durable, long-lasting finish.
